Case Study

Dalhem Ribba Timber Ceiling

Location: Kent, UK

Invicta's Ceilings and Partitioning division has recently completed a unique and prestigious timber ceiling contract in Kent, UK.

The project was comprised of 100m² of Dalhem Ribba ceiling finished in birch, with timber ribs each measuring 30mm high x 38mm wide x 2.4m long with 22mm gaps between each rib. The ceiling had to scroll down to become the finish on a display wall built with a soft wood frame and birch ply, incorporating coloured niches and a 77 inch smartboard.

The ceiling project was not without its challenges, particularly setting the ceiling out to get the scroll positioned and lined up in exactly the correct alignment on the wall. The specialist lighting system also needed to be adapted in order for it to be compatible with the ceiling. However, Invicta's most experienced fixers were able to overcome these issues and complete the project on time and in budget.
