Installation Of Partitions And Suspended Ceilings At St George's New Build School In Kent

Location: Kent, UK

The Ceilings and Partitioning division of The Invicta Group has recently completed a large section of the £22m new build project at St George's School in Broadstairs, Kent as part of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

Working with Kier South East, Invicta's contribution to the project was the installation of 1,500 linear metres of Knauf metal stud partitions and 7,200m² of CEP suspended ceilings.

Extremely tight timescales and rigerous health and safety policies were just two of numerous challenges that were faced and overcome in order to result in a successful completion before the strict deadline imposed and the old building was demolished.

Peter Graham, Invicta's contracts manager on this project, comments "working with Kier South East on a project of this size has given Invicta's Ceilings and Partitioning division a new platform level to demonstrate our professionalism, resources and capabilities, and we are confident that this will only strengthen the partnership between the two companies for future projects."
