Metal Stud Partitions and Suspended Ceilings Complete Leisure Centre Redevelopment

Location: Kent, UK

Our Ceilings and Partitioning division is proud to have recently completed work on the £1.6m redevelopment of Thanet Leisure Force's Hartsdown Leisure Centre. Hartsdown is a leisure facility local to our head office and one that many of our employees have used extensively over the past 25 years.

The Invicta Group was tasked with converting a large indoor sports hall into a brand new, high tech gymnasium, two aerobic dance studios and a childrens soft play area, together with a new sports hall floor, cafe and changing facilities. Our solution was to design and install 800m² of acoustic and jumbo metal stud partitions and 700m² of suspended ceilings throughout the facility, dividing the area up into multiple smaller areas. A large mezzanine floor was installed in order to maximise use of the full height of the building, upon which the two dance studios were located. The gymnasium was located below the mezzanine floor, with suspended ceilings and fire protection installed to both levels. A jumbo stud wall was erected to the full 10m height of the building to seperate the areas, and modern changing facilities were installed in order to complete the redevelopment.

The project has brought Hartsdown Leisure Centre right up to date, and the centre is now able to offer a much wider range of facilities to the Kent community.
